EZOwn Terms of Use
Last updated: 22 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between EZOwn ("we", "us") and the company that uses EZOwn ("your company"), and every person who uses EZOwn for it ("you"). By using EZOwn, you agree to them. If you accept them for a company, you confirm that you have the authority to bind it.
1. What EZOwn is
EZOwn is software for construction, development and property management companies. It runs projects, budgets, payables, billing and site work. It can connect to the accounting software your company uses, such as QuickBooks Online, and work with the records there.
2. Your licence
While your company has an account, we give it a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use EZOwn for its own business. You may not:
- copy, resell or sublicense EZOwn;
- reverse engineer it, or try to reach parts of it you aren't given access to;
- use it to break the law or anyone's rights;
- share your sign-in with anyone. Keep your password and sign-in methods secure.
3. Your data
Your company owns the data it puts into EZOwn or connects to it. You let us use that data only to provide EZOwn to your company. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it and how long we keep it.
4. Connected services, including QuickBooks Online
- Connection takes your company's consent. EZOwn connects to QuickBooks Online only after an administrator of your company approves it through Intuit's own sign-in.
- What EZOwn does there: it reads your company's accounting data, and it creates or updates records only when someone in your company asks it to. Examples are bills, invoices, payments and journal entries.
- Disconnecting: your company can disconnect at any time, from EZOwn or from QuickBooks.
- QuickBooks is Intuit's service. QuickBooks Online is provided by Intuit under Intuit's own terms. QuickBooks is a trademark of Intuit Inc. EZOwn isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit.
- Your books are your responsibility. Your company is responsible for what goes into its books. Review what EZOwn records for you. EZOwn helps you keep accurate records, but it isn't accounting, tax or legal advice.
5. Fees
Any fees are set out in your company's order or subscription. If EZOwn is provided to your company free of charge, these terms still apply.
6. Changes and availability
We improve EZOwn over time, and features may change. We work to keep EZOwn available and accurate, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
7. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, EZOwn is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data;
- our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees your company paid for EZOwn in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Ending the agreement
Your company can stop using EZOwn at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken. When access ends, your company's data is handled as the Privacy Policy describes.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Toronto, Ontario, decide any dispute.
11. Changes to these terms
We'll post any change here with a new date. If a change matters, we'll tell your company before it takes effect.
